wp80732821.png

What is it? Pilates is a form of exercises to teach you to use the muscles necessary for correct posture and trunk stability. It helps improve the imbalance of muscle length and strength, and improves joint flexibility. Clinical Pilates is a form of pilates run by health professionals (such a physiotherapists). Classes are small and individualised to your needs.

Why do it? Classes will help you improve your core strength and trunk stability, which will lead to improved posture, breathing control, and lessen your chances of musculoskeletal injury.

Who would benefit? As classes are based on your needs they benefit all levels of exercisers from those recovering from an injury to the elite athlete

What is the process? Before you start a class you have a one-on-one assessment with a physiotherapist with expertise in clinical pilates. An exercises program with then be developed with you taking into account your specific needs and goals. You will then join with a small group to attend weekly classes.

What is the cost? Different classes have different costs so discuss this with your physiotherapist or ask at reception

Who takes the classes? All our classes are run by experienced and qualified physiotherapists with additional post graduate qualifications in clinical pilates.
